:DE KOM Theater lies at the heart of the Kunstcluster, or Art Cluster, in the town centre of Nieuwegein. The building houses two auditoriums, a cafe bar, a foyer on three levels linked by an imposing staircase, and arts studios on the top level. Considerable care has been taken in the selection of materials: poplar strips line the foyer walls, black walnut is used in the main auditorium, and dark Belgian stone flooring in the entrance foyer.
