: | Budascoop (then named Pentascoop) opened in 1975, as Belgium's first five-screen cinema. Renovated by the original architects in 2006, its architecture is striking: concrete block and shuttered concrete walls throughout the interior, and a broad sweeping ramp from the foyer to the first floor auditoriums. Budascoop is now part of Kortrijk's renowned arts institution, BUDA, hosting arthouse films and theatre performances. |
