|:||The expansion of an existing school building to provide a series of new facilities, including a performance space, catering facilities and fifteen additional classrooms. The scheme will enable the school to increase its intake from a two-form to a three-form entry. Further improvements will be made to the existing facilities including new catering facilities, enabling the school to provide hot meals for all pupils for the first time. Originally built in 1901, the building was made up of two large three-storey towers at either end (East and West), providing a distinctive ‘bookend’ typology. The volume between these consists of the main hall, which remains the focal point of the school today. The building has undergone a series of modifications over the years, partly as a response to changing requirements but more significantly as a result of bomb damage during WWII.|
